my choices in this order: green, blue, orange, grey, red, yellow, black, pink.
definitely blue, although green is tempting…
GREY PILL GREY PILL GREY PILL
so many riches so many robots of my own creation and ELECTRICITY POWERS
hoooooooooolly shit.
no one should ever give me the yellow pill because i would be really mean and switch people’s brains off and on all the time
hm, i could have sworn i’ve seen this before, only the powers were different and they all came with limitations/consequences. regardless, blue pill, so much. i have dreamed about being able to fly my entire life, it would be a dream come true.
ughhhh you all suck
blue (because flying), orange, grey, red, green
first choice red, second choice grey. Surely one of them will lead me to immortality.
Blue would be my first choice, because dear sweet jesus teleporting is something I need.
Blue—not just undersea exploration. Not just soaring in the sky. But impervious teleportation, too?
Space travel. You could scour the galaxy for habitable planets.
Alternately Grey (woo magneto!), Yellow (I promise I won’t go all Spiderb8tch), and Green (woo animorphs!)

Okay, so.
On the Godspeed You! Black Emperor album Lift Your Skinny Fists like Antennas to Heaven, in the first track “Storm”, there is a certain recurring melody. The first and clearest run-through lasts from 6:56 to 8:53 or thereabouts.
This melody is also heard on the track “Providence”, on their album F#A#oo, starting at 10:58 and fades away around 12:02. This time, it is sung, and I can make out the words “gathering storm” (appropriately) and something like “fall into your arms.”
THE QUESTION:
Is this an actual song or hymn that they’re sampling here, one with previous existence outside the band? Or a snippet that got written and re-used? And either way, can anybody make out all the words on the Providence version?
(I ask because I’ve often found myself humming it, but unable to figure out what the hell those words are, and so just making others up as I go)
